DAY 2

Sunday, September 19th
Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi, where you are met and escorted to your hotel - the Villa Rosa Kempinski! DAY 3

Monday, September 20th
Nairobi, Kenya

Wake up in the morning at your leisure and enjoy breakfast at your hotel.  After breakfast head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world.  After spending time with the baby elephants, continue on to the Giraffe Center. Here you will have an up-close and personal encounter with giraffes where you will be able to feed and pet them. You might even get a big wet kiss from a giraffe whose tongue is almost 20 inches long!

You’ll enjoy lunch at Talisman tucked away in a beautiful garden oasis just minutes away from the Giraffe center.

After a delicious lunch, we will visit the Karen Blixen Museum, a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. The Museum belongs to a different time in the history of Kenya. The farmhouse gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar-winning film based on Karen’s autobiography.

DAY 4

Tuesday, September 21st
Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya

You will start our day off by visiting an organization that helps you women and girls in East Africa build healthier and more resilient futures for themselves and their children.  

After this meaningful time,  you will depart for Wilson Airport where you will catch your flight to the Masai Mara.  You will be greeted by Masai dancers as they welcome you to their land.  After settling into your luxurious tented accommodations, at eh &beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, you will explore a region with over 500 square miles of savannas, woodlands, and tree-fringed rivers on morning and afternoon game drives. You will enjoy seeing crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos relaxing in muddy water, African elephants rumble along the forest edge and giraffes snatching leaves from branches high above.

The evening will begin by sipping delicious cocktails while witnessing a sky full of magnificent colors as the sun sets over the Mara.  After sunset, we will head back to the lodge for dinner and time to reflect on the day’s events.

DAY 5

Wednesday, September 22nd
Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya

Wake up early morning and take a hot air balloon ride* where you will marvel at the unending landscape that hosts over 450 bird species, 95 animal species, and all of the great predators, including the country’s largest lion population. Land in the middle of the Mara plains, where you will have breakfast in the savannah.  In the afternoon, you will have your final game drive looking for cheetahs, Leopard, Lions, and maybe see a lioness with her baby cubs playing.

Your final dinner in the Mara will be a bush dinner hosted at an exclusive location about 10 minutes’ drive from the resort. The Maasai entertain guests around a bonfire before enjoying a hearty barbecue dinner. 

*balloon ride is an optional excursion and not included in tour price.

 

Part Two of Your Journey - Discovering Connection

DAY 6

Thursday, September 23rd
Samburu National Reserve, Kenya

Fly to Samburu National Reserve, Saruni Samburu is located in tribal lands to the north of Samburu National Reserve. The lodge overlooks a vast private wildlife sanctuary called Kalama Conservancy, and has exclusive access to the surrounding 200,000 acres of pristine, protected wilderness.

DAY 7

Friday, September 24th
Samburu National Reserve, Kenya

At Saruni Samburu, guests can enjoy exciting, relaxing and unusal activities. Game drives and night drives, guided bush walks and visits to the local caves, lounging at the infinity pools or having a massage at the Samburu Wellbeing Space, picnic breakfasts by the Ewaso Niro River or bush dinners in a dry river bed with firelight and Samburu dancers, star-gazing visiting the local village

Return to your lodge for dinner followed by a relaxing evening under African skies.

DAY 8

Saturday, September 25th
Nairobi, Kenya

Catch a flight back to Nairobi where we will take our COVID Tests for re-entry back home. We will enjoy the late afternoon relaxing by the pool before dinner at a local restaurant.

Spend two nights at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel.

DAY 9

Sunday, September 26th
Nairobi, Kenya

Let’s go shopping.  We will explore different Kenyan markets, mingle with the Kenyan people, and discover art and other items that you can’t live without.

In the evening, we will reflect on our week together and discover how our passions have been ignited, what ways we were courageous, and what did we re-discover about ourselves.

DAY 10

Monday, September 27th
Let’s get packing! Time to prepare for our trip back home and figure out how we are going to get all the goodies we’ve purchased in our suitcases.

In the evening, we will say our final goodbyes before heading to the airport for our flights home. We hope you are taking with you a new sense of self, peace, and have discovered your passions all over again.
